Selected Graphs from my PhD Thesis – 1

On my PhD thesis I had to communicate complex issues and I often used graphs to assist the better comprehension of concepts and contemporary matters.

This graph was used to visualise the growth of internet access and social media usage in Brazil in parallel with the recent political crisis and transformations in the country. I had to gather data from various sources, once Facebook does not have this sort of information readily available.

The goal is to show that the internet and social media media usage growth in Brazil coincides with the beginning of a series of political crises that started from 2013 onward.
